Eero Saarinen

Saarinen begyndte sin karriere som elev på Yale Universitet. Efter at have rejst og studeret over hele Europa, vendte tilbage til USA og underviste på Cranbrook. Her blev han direktør i 1932 og samarbejdede derefter på forskellige projekter med to af sine tidligere studerende, nemlig Charles Eames og Firenze Schust Knoll. Saarinen og Eames vandt 1ste præmien på en udstilling på Museum of Modern Art i New York i 1940 med titlen "Konkurrence for Økologisk Design og Boligudstyr".

Saaringen designede den bemærkelsesværdige TWA terminal i John F. Kennedy lufthavn i New York.
